A bit about Chris - The Boy in the Corner

So if your first memory of planet earth is putting your head into a speaker while lying on the floor in order to 'get closer' to the music then you're beginning to get the picture of where Chris came from.

What followed was an obsession with tapes, recording, music and gadgets. Work experience at FOX FM in Oxford cemented a total love for radio that defined the next 25 years. During a Physics degree in Birmingham the world of DJ'ing and records entered the scene. Radio led him to Kent, Southampton and Bournemouth at progressively bigger and more established stations. Then came a summer season on air at Café Mambo in Ibiza and a move to London to be Head of Radio for Ministry of Sound. During this time Chris was not only running a team of presenters and a full time 24 hour radio station, but also DJ'ing globally for HedKandi and Ministry

In 2008 the Boy in the Corner was born, a production company driven by a passion for making high-quality podcasts and radio programmes. Since then, he has made over 300 radio shows with the world's #1 DJ Martin Garrix, produced podcasts for the likes of MSN, taught radio production at the leading 'Point Blank' college in London, and launched his own brand Vi4YL™️ which was picked by GQ Magazine for their what podcasts to listen in 2020.

Chris's work has been heard across the globe and includes an obscene amount of broadcast hours. Shows and projects have aired on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, KISS, Capital FM, Sirius XM (USA), and many many more platforms and networks.

Now into his 12th year of the business, a wide range of adventures continue; from producing shows with arguably Finlands biggest synth geek to spending days chasing around some of the most exciting new producers in the Netherlands. He is also - important to say - still just as happy lying on the floor with his head far too close to what are now his own speakers.
